Snack Eyes Backgammon Tournament!

  • Exhale Mekelweg 8-10 Delft, ZH, 2628 CN Netherlands (map)

On 27 May, Delft Backgammon Society is hosting Snake Eyes, a backgammon tournament which is open to all skill levels.

The tournament consists of two stages: a qualification phase (a group stage from which the first one or two players in each group will advance) and a knockout phase with eight players who progress from the first stage. The winner will receive a backgammon board!

Before the tournament kicks off, there will be an introductory session for those new or needing to refresh their knowledge of the game. This session is open to everyone and will provide an overview of the rules, strategies, and gameplay, allowing beginners to comfortably participate in matches. The typical game of backgammon – ignoring the doubling cube – takes around fifteen minutes. This means an absolute beginner can learn the rules and play three or four games in the space of an hour.

The matches will be played using the official rules and the tournament will be structured to accommodate both the qualification phase and the knockout phase in one evening.

This event takes places in ‘Move.’ Sign up to participate here.
