Keep your items in tip-top condition and prevent them from breaking down
Every day we interact with mechanical items: our bikes, kitchen appliances, and the mechanisms in our locks and doors. All these items have moving parts that are prone to rust and wear over time, but that doesn’t mean they should go in the trash, many of these items can be repaired! Sometimes finding the right spare part for your broken things can be very tricky or even impossible. There are ways to make your own spare parts!
In the final instalment of the Repair Workshop with Thomas de Boer and Micha Heilman, we will learn how to measure, design, and draw parts ourselves, and learn techniques for making our own spare parts at home by hand or using a 3D printer!
The workshop will start with a one-hour masterclass before opening up the general repair workshop. This workshop is suitable for repairing mechanical parts and failures. Note to returning participants: we may not be able to repair electronic damage or clothing items in this repair session.

This workshop takes place in ‘Create.’
Remember: Bring your own items to work on!
